U. DE CHILE aumenta de 24,2% a 38,3% en captar PUNTAJES NACIONALES
De 54 a [B]131[/B] aumentó el número de estudiantes con [B]Puntaje Naciona[/B]l que postuló a la U. de Chile en el proceso de admisión 2010, observándose una variación positiva desde el 24,2 por ciento del año pasado al [B]38,3 por ciento[/B] del presente período. En tanto, la institución que lideró este año mostró una significativa baja. Fue el caso de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, que del 62,33 por ciento de Puntajes Nacionales seleccionados para el proceso 2009 bajó al 48,25 por ciento en la versión actual.
Los seleccionados en la Universidad de Chile que marcaron a la institución en primera preferencia son el 57% y en segunda preferencia el 26%. Por lo tanto, el [B]83% de los postulantes seleccionados[/B] [B]corresponden a las dos primeras preferencias de postulación[/B].
[B]Compromiso de la U. de Chile por la equidad y la educación pública[/B]
Al analizar los datos según la procedencia de este grupo de jóvenes talentos, se registró también un alza en cada uno de los tipos de establecimientos escolares. Así, en el proceso 2009, 21 estudiantes de [B]colegios municipales[/B] con máximo rendimiento escogieron esta Casa de Estudios, y este año esa cifra creció para alcanzar un total de 33 alumnos, representando el [B]70,21 por ciento[/B] del total de Puntajes Nacionales de establecimientos municipales registrados en el proceso 2010.
En tanto, los [B]colegios subvencionados[/B] tuvieron la vez anterior 6 Puntajes Nacionales postulantes a la Universidad de Chile, incrementando su participación en el presente proceso a 26 estudiantes con máximo rendimiento en esa misma situación, lo que equivale a un [B]44,07 por ciento[/B] del total de Puntajes Nacionales de alumnos provenientes de establecimientos subvencionados.
Por su parte, los [B]establecimientos pagados[/B] tuvieron 27 Puntajes Nacionales en el proceso 2009 postulando a la Universidad de Chile, mientras que en esta oportunidad incrementaron esa cifra a 72 estudiantes, vale decir, un [B]30,51 por ciento[/B] del total de Puntajes Nacionales educados en colegios particulares pagados.

La mayor cantidad de los puntajes nacionales seleccionados por la U. de Chile se concentraron en las carreras de [B]Ingeniería, Medicina, Derecho e Ingeniería Comercial[/B].

[B]26 carreras aumentaron su puntaje de corte en seleccionados[/B]
El proceso de selección 2010 dio cuenta, también, de un aumento en el [B]promedio de los puntajes PSU de los seleccionados de la Universidad de Chile[/B], de 688,4 puntos en 2009 a [B]693,2 puntos[/B] en el presente año. Cabe precisar que esta Casa de Estudios incrementó sus vacantes regulares para el proceso 2010 en un 3,59% en relación al año anterior y que pese a ello se constituyó en una de las 14 universidades que tuvo un incremento.
Del mismo modo, se registró un aumento del puntaje de corte en los seleccionados para 26 carreras de la Universidad de Chile, donde destacaron [B]Ingeniería en Biotecnología Molecular, Licenciatura en Teoría de la Música, Psicología, Medicina, Enfermería y Licenciatura en Física[/B]. Caso especial es el [B]Plan Común de Ingeniería[/B], que no obstante incrementar sus cupos en 100 vacantes, subió su puntaje de corte en casi 10 puntos.

El 78,9% de los seleccionados de la U. de Chile proviene de la Región Metropolitana, y el 21,1% de otras regiones.
Las comunas con mayor número de seleccionados por esta Casa de Estudios son Maipú (9,6%), La Florida (7,5%) y Puente Alto (6,5%) y al mismo tiempo se reciben postulantes de las comunas de Las Condes (9,0%), Ñuñoa (7,2%) y Providencia (4,5%).
[B]Promedio de los puntajes PSU de los seleccionados[/B]
La Universidad de Chile aumentó su puntaje promedio PSU, alcanzando 693,25 puntos, no obstante haber aumentado en un 3,6% sus cupos regulares. 14 fueron las instituciones que subieron su promedio de puntajes PSU de sus seleccionados, siendo 12 de ellas universidades estatales.
